Meet Mandy
Mandy Moon emerged as a singer-songwriter project by Mandy Wright in
New Orleans in 2004. Her musical style, influenced by soul and rhythm
& blues, was shaped by the vibrant music scene of the city. Born in
Bangkok, Thailand, Mandy moved to the United States at a young age,
drawing inspiration from places she’s called home. Her musical journey
began organically, starting with singing at age 6 and learning guitar
at 15. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2013 with a
Bachelor's degree in Music, specializing in Studio Engineering and
Voice. As a versatile and trained vocalist, Mandy effortlessly crosses
into the genres of R&B, Pop, Jazz, and Soul. Her music is soulful,
driven, authentic, and emotional, aiming to help understand and
process the many spectrums of the human experience. No subject is off
limits to write or sing about. Mandy spent several years in the South
Florida music scene with her band, releasing the single "Why Can’t I
Breathe" in December 2015, which continues to resonate with fans. In
search of new creative challenges, she moved to Nashville in the
summer of 2016 to further her music career. Just before her move, she
debuted her single "Lie To Me" on Balcony TV Miami in May 2016. After
a few years in Music City, Mandy successfully raised $4,000 through
IndieGoGo to record and release her latest EP, "Passing Through," in
2019. Her single "Quarantine Song," produced and recorded remotely
from her home studio and a producer's studio in Florida, was released
in the summer of 2020. Currently based in Nashville, Tennessee, Mandy
continues to create music and perform with her band, while also
playing at private and corporate events. Her new single "Love Myself"
is out now, with more anticipated releases arriving in 2024.
